It was a beautiful day for Mr. Hencey's high school art class to visit Chadron Primary School. The art students were able to sketch some playground equipment and even had a few models posing for sketches as well! The Primary kiddos were beyond excited to have visitors during recess, thanks for sharing Mr. Hencey!!
Challenge Days
Wednesday, April 4th Chadron Primary students went up to Chadron State College and enjoyed Challenge Days. Students in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation department host our elementary students to a morning of fun with different stations and activities. It is a wonderful opportunity for the CSC students to get exposure to teaching and our little birds get extra opportunities for fun and physical activity. A HUGE thank you to Chadron State College for this event, our children have such a GRAND time!!
Cardinals of the Month - March
These students were able to have breakfast in the Teachers' Lounge with Ms. Uhing and as always it was a big treat for our Cardinals of the Month. Perfect Attendance
These Primary students celebrated perfect attendance for the first three quarters of school. We are so proud of these children and their families for making attendance a priority. Cardinals of the Month - February
These students were chosen by their teachers as wonderful examples of students who follow the Cardinal Rules of 1) Be Safe, 2) Be Respectful, and 3) Be Responsible so they were able to party in the teachers' lounge with only Princessipal Uhing. As Cardinals of the Month they are great leaders within their classrooms. It is always so much fun to visit with and enjoy the company of these outstanding students. Way to go kiddos and thank you for making such good choices!!
Read Across America FUN
The students at Chadron Primary School had a variety of activities to help celebrate Read Across America. Kindergarten students enjoyed the Q and U wedding while older students had visitors from the Pine Ridge Job Corps and other students did some reading of Seuss books on their own. It was a wonderful day to celebrate literacy and enjoy our guests. Thank you to everyone who visited and participated in our fun!
Second Grade Field Trip to First National Bank
The second grade classes were able to visit First National Bank of Chadron for a field trip a few weeks ago. First National Bank of Chadron sponsored a math curriculum - "Saving with Mandy and Randy" in which the students learned about saving and spending along with deposits and withdrawals. The children were excited to see how the bank operates and we thank all of the employees of the bank for welcoming our students. Thank you!
Raffle Winner!!
Congratulations to James Hardy the winner of our Lego Raffle - his guess of 240 was only two off from the actual amount of Legos at 238. James, his wife Mandi, and son Damian were all on hand to accept the winnings and pose for a picture. James said he had help in guessing from Damian so they will take part of their prize money to buy a Lego set for home. Congratulations James and thanks to everyone who came and supported our Penny Carnival. We took in cash donations and a total of 4,483 pennies! This money will be used to fund next year's event; again, thank you so much for your suppo
