December 21st Fun Day

Chadron Primary School hosted a Holiday Fun Day Friday, December 21st and our students had a BLAST!!  Students rotated through various stations that engaged students in STEM activities, sensory activities, literacy, music, and art activities.  Students were also able to have their classroom parties and we had so many parents and family members who volunteered their time to make the day a success!  Thank you to all of the folks that coordinated these activities, it was a day to remember!  We finished the day with an all-school sing-a-long with our special guest Dr.

Lunchtime Solutions

Do not let these shirts deceive you ~ these lunch gals are the nicest you will meet!!  They have so much fun with our Chadron Primary School students and we are so grateful to have them as a part of our family.  Happy Holidays from our Lunchtime Solutions gals and all of Chadron Primary School.

Perfect Attendance

These students achieved Perfect Attendance for both the first and second quarters of school!  This is not an easy feat with all of the activities and sickness that often occurs in elementary school but these children made it happen.  Congratulations to these students and thank you to all of the family support, without you, this would not be possible!

The Incredible C3 Church!!

Chadron Primary School staff was once again blessed by Pastor Corbit and his family along with members of the Chadron Community Church.  Each staff member was given a gift from the church as a thank you and Merry Christmas for all we do along with breakfast in the Teachers' Lounge.  Staff members were in awe of the generosity and thoughtfulness of Pastor Corbit and the C3 Church.  To live in a community that embraces a school so much is an honor and from the bottom of all of our hearts ~ THANK YOU!!

Food Pantry Donations

Chadron Primary School would like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our students and families for their AMAZING donations to our Kids Caring at Christmas campaign.  In lieu of Christmas presents students brought canned goods and non-perishable food items which were donated to the Food Pantry at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  We had some pretty good helpers carrying bags of food down to the church and we thank the folks at the church who will assemble bags and distribute to families.  What a community!  Chadron Primary School is proud to be a part of it!!

Thank You Thrivent Financial

Chadron Public Schools received a generous donation of school supplies from Thrivent Financial!  All four schools:  Primary, Intermediate, Middle and High schools were able to distribute supplies to students and teachers.  We are so thankful to live in a community that recognizes and supports our students and staff.  Thank you again for thinking of all of us!

2nd Grade Reader's Theater

Our second grade students have been working on a Christmas Reader's Theater and they were able to perform for our Kindergarten classes today.  These students have been studying these in library time and we would like to thank Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Kaus for all of their work helping get the students ready to perform.  Our Kindergarten students always get so excited for the "big kids" to visit and today was no exception.  Well done second grade students!

Your Selling Team

Folks from Your Selling Team delivered their donation to Chadron Primary School which will assist many of our students and families with lunch accounts.  Thank You ~ Your Selling Team for thinking of our children and your sense of giving and kindness!

He's Back...

Seymour Goodthings has returned to Chadron Primary for another year of watching students follow our Cardinal Rules!  You just never know where Seymour will be hiding to watch our littles birds follow the rules here at the nest!

November

We were very excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our students who earned Cardinals of the Month for November!  These students were chosen by their teachers as children who follow the Cardinal rules and are wonderful examples to other students.  These kiddos were able to have breakfast in the teachers' lounge with Principal Uhing and we all visited about the above and beyond good choices they had made.  Congratulations on your good behavior and we are excited for the amazing choices to come, we are proud of you!

United Methodist Church Sunday School Group Makes Donation to Chadron Primary

Children from the United Methodist Sunday School Group made a generous donation to Chadron Primary School.  Students from this Sunday School Group have been saving their collection money and decided to initiate a campaign they call "Fuel the Kids".  These students and their sponsors chose to use this money for students with overdue lunch balances as well as for students who are free/reduced.  Our students who qualify for free and reduced meals often like to get extra entrees and the money deposited into their accounts will allow them to do that without the families getting charged.  We were

Courthouse Tree Decorating

Dawes County Courthouse has a fancy looking Christmas Tree thanks to Chadron Primary students.  Courthouse employees invited students down to show off their homemade ornaments and decorate the courthouse.  Children were able to take a walking field trip down to Main Street for the event and the students enjoyed their time and were given a candy cane for the walk back to school.  Thank you to the Courthouse and to all of the staff who helped get our students there and back safely.  When you have a chance, stop by to enjoy the scenery.
