Cardinals of the Month

Chadron Primary School celebrated our February Cardinals of the Month.  These students were chosen by their teachers as students who excel in the classroom!  These kiddos have gone above and beyond our three Cardinal Rules of 1)Be Safe, 2)Be Respectful, and 3) Be Responsible.  These children have been great examples for other students and we are so excited to honor them with a breakfast.  We were able to take over the Teachers' Lounge to enjoy our morning and we want to congratulate them all for a job well done!

Therapy Dog Mayzie Visits Chadron Primary School

First grade students have been studying about service animals for their Reading unit and had a special visitor this week.  Dr. Julie Downing was able to bring Mayzie for a visit to Chadron Primary School to talk about the ways Mayzie can help people.  This sweet therapy dog was a rescue animal Dr. Downing adopted and has trained.  The students and staff were beyond excited to have Dr. Downing and Mayzie visit and we want to send a HUGE thank you to Julie for spending her lunch hour visiting with our students.  We sure hope Mayzie can visit again soon!

Be My Valentine Breakfast a HUGE SUCCESS!!

Chadron Primary School hosted the first ever Be My Valentine Breakfast and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!!  The idea came from our Parent Involvement Group brainstorming more ways to invite families into our schools and participate in events.  We served over 400 students and special visitors on Valentine's Day and are so excited to explore more ways to encourage family participation in our school.  We also had volunteers from Chadron Middle School and Chadron High School and we are proud to say that all 232 Primary School students had a "special someone" to spend some time with!  It was an outstand

Book It

Students at Chadron Primary School have continued to read their hearts out!!  Students have been setting goals and zipping through pages and were recently awarded prizes for turning in their Book It calendars for January.  Book It is a nation-wide program sponsored by Pizza Hut and students are able to receive personal pan certificates from Pizza Hut.  Chadron Primary School Title 1 teacher Mrs. Ritterbush is adding to this year's fun by adding small Dr.

Cardinals of the Month

We are so glad these students make good choices and set such great examples for others.  These little Cardinals were selected by their homeroom teachers as "Cardinals of the Month" and had exceptional behavior this past month!  The students are selected on the basis of going above and beyond the three Cardinal Rules: 1)Be Safe, 2)Be Respectful, and 3)Be Responsible.  They were able to have breakfast in the teachers' lounge and sported their buttons with pride!  Keep up the GOOD WORK kiddos, we are so proud of you!
