Teammates
Last week our Teammates Table was full! We created a special space for our mentors and mentees to spend time together during lunch and love seeing it being used!
Thank you to the Chadron Teammates program and mentors that are spending time with our students! The students love having each of you visit! Any student may request a mentor and with parent permission we will do our best to find them one!

Student-Led Parent-Teacher Conferences
The students did a great job leading our spring Parent-Teacher Conferences last week. 4th graders especially enjoyed sharing what they have been learning in science with an experiment! Thank you to all of the parents that came!

Intermediate Playground/Grounds Supervision
We have added new signage to our playground in order to alert our community to supervision. Our school hours that the playground is supervised are from 7:40 AM to 3:05 PM unless there is an early dismissal. There is no supervision on the playground prior to 7:40 AM. If you are droppping off your student prior to 7:40, please understand supervision is your responsibility. Students not picked up at 3:12 PM will be taken in to the CIA after school program. On early release days, students will be taken inside at 1:25 PM and we will try to call you.

Health Screenings
Chadron Public Schools 2022 Health Screenings Dear Parents/Guardians: We hope this letter finds each of you and your families off to a great school year! We are writing to let you know that the required school health screenings will be held on November 8-10, 2022. These screenings are not only a requirement by the State of Nebraska but also very important in early diagnosis of potential barriers in a student’s ability to learn and grow!
Library News
Thank you to the Chadron Public Library for the wonderful "Ocean Worlds: Potential for Life" bookmarks! The 3rd & 4th graders will enjoy being able scan for NASA activities and games as well.
CSC Women's Basketball Team Read with CIS Students
The Chadron State College Women's basketball team has visited CIS the last 2 weeks during our Need to Read time to encourage our students to read for enjoyment. They read to students and then stay for recess! We appreciate their visits and the students love having them! Thank you CSC Women's Basketball team!
3rd Graders visit Bird Banding station at CSP
The 3rd graders had a wonderful time on their field trip to the banding station at Chadron State Park. They were able to talk with the bird bander and learn lots of great information. The students also participated in a hike and played a game to learn about bird migration.
