*Kiwanis Trunk or Treat will be taking place on Main Street between 2nd and 3rd Street.  Set-up will start at 3 P.M.  The street will be blocked off for this event. Groups or Individuals are asked to decorate the back of their car trunk or pickup and pass out treats to children.  The group or individual may dress up if they wish and is encouraged to do so! *

School Pictures-Did you get one?

** CIS School Pictures were sent home on Fri. and we seem to be missing most of them (you rec’d a packet but no pictures enclosed).    Mrs. Matt has checked on the orders and was assured that they were rec’d but for some reason not printed at the same time as the online orders.   So anyone that paid with check or cash - the pictures you ordered are on the way.     Thank you for the phone calls to alert us.   So sorry for the confusion and inconvenience.

Constitution Day 2015!

After the flag ceremony this morning students learned that it was Constitution Day.  Since 2004, our country has observed this day.   We learned that the Constitution was first signed in 1787.  The first sentence of the Constitution is called the preamble.The first three words of the preamble, "We the People," may be the three most important words in the history of American democracy!

Community Engagement Meeting September 9th

Chadron Public School s invites you to participate in an upcoming Community Engagement Meeting on September 9th at 6pm in the High School Library.  The Chadron Board of Education is committed to gathering ideas from stakeholders to guide our school district.  This focused group of community and school leaders will work together to help formulate a vision of the future, and identify goals and strategies necessary to move the district forward to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  Working in small groups we will reflect, define, and design our community's vision.
