It's springtime, which means CMS is gearing up to begin NSCAS (Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System) and MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) assessments. Students take these assessments every spring, and the results are used as a standardized measure for academic growth, and to meet accountability requirements.
It's important that students attend school during testing times to avoid missing additional class time for make-up tests. It's also important that students come to school well-rested and ready to give their best effort on each assessment. As always, we appreciate the many ways that our student's parents and guardians support our students and the school!
All Chadron Middle School students will take the following assessments:
NSCAS ELA (English Language Arts)
NSCAS Math
MAP Reading
MAP Language Arts
MAP Science
MAP Math
*Only 5th and 8th graders take the NSCAS Science assessment.
Below is the full testing schedule. If you have questions, please contact Nick Dressel, Chadron Middle School Principal, at 432-0708 or [email protected].
