What are DIBELSDIBELS stands for Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills. The DIBELS® measures are brief, and are used to regularly monitor the development of early literacy and early reading skills. DIBELS was designed for use in identifying children experiencing difficulty in the acquisition of basic early literacy skills, in order to provide support early and prevent the occurrence of later reading difficulties.
We are please to be back in business. Thank you for sending us the best kids ever! We enjoyed the Christmas Break and hope you did to! Students are enjoying getting back into the "school routine" and so are we.
Camp Norwesca has just been given the joyous word that they are the recipient of this years Hopkins Foundation grant. This grant allows less fortunate children to attend a camp filled with a little extra cheer & fun to make their Christmas holiday memorable. We have 20 available slots that need filled ASAP or we lose the grant. The age groups are 2nd through 8thgrade.
This week we have been using Padlet to create Thanksgiving boards. The students are abel to collaborate and see their classmates working in real time as they type in what they are thankful for. The upper elementary students add embedded photos from Google to enhance their posts and were able to view all their classmates posts as well.
