Mrs. Dickey's class published it's last edition on Student News this week.  We hope you enjoy!

12:00 Dismissal this Friday

Friday is a 12:00 dismissal for all Chadron Public School.  Chadron Intermediate school will begin lunch a bit earlier so that all students will be fed and ready for the weekend.

You are invited to attend the Chadron Wrestling Tournament at the CSC PAC Center this weekend as it is the main event this weekend.

Martin Luther King Day Celebration

Parents and community members are invited to join us for Martin Luther King Day events at CSC (Monday January 16th).  The events start with a march from Common Cents to the Chicoine Center.The march leaves Common Cents at 1:15 and proceeds north to Sixth Street, turning left onto Sixth Street and heading east to Shelton Street, where the Chadron Middle School students will join. It will then head south on Shelton Street to the United Methodist Church, where the Chadron Primary and Intermediate School students will join.

HEALTH SCREENING (JANUARY 18TH)

Dear Parents/Guardians:Hope this letter finds each of you and your families enjoyed the Christmas break!We are writing to let you know the 2016-2017 Chadron Public Schools Health Screenings will be held on January  18 and 19, 2017.  January 18th will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades and January 19th will be 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th grades.

Welcome back to the first day of school for the new year on Thursday (January 5).  We hope you all had a great Christmas and celebrated the new year in safely.  We are excited to have your students return to us for the second semester.  DIBELS results from the end of 1st semester are in and we are pleased to see the progress that can only be attained from hard work in and outside the classroom. Thank you for all the help you give your student(s) and please continue to encourage their academic progress.  The graphs below show the fruits of our labor.  Thank you for all your support!

Fall Music Program a Success!

We would like to thank all the parents, family and friends for coming to our Fall Music Program. Both 3rd and 4th Grade students did a super job with their songs.  Thank You Mrs. Mahr for your help in making this program possible.  

Exxon Mobil Grant is awarded to CIS

We would like to thank Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance program for the $500 grant awarded to Chadron Intermediate School. Exxon Mobil along with the Moyle Petroleum Company and the Chadron Common Cents Convenience Store provided the opportunity for our school to apply for the grant made possible through funding from the Exxon Mobil  Corporation.

2016 NRD Poster Contest-Local Winner

Contest Theme:  WE ALL NEED TREES!

Sheri Daniels and UNWNRD sponsored the 2016 Poster Contest again this year.  She is standing with Trinity B. a local winner with her poster that will headed to Lincoln to be judged by other students across the state.  The 2nd place CIS student was Taylor K. in 3rd Grade.  Congratulations to both students!
