Chadron Primary School hosted its third annual Penny Carnival last Friday night; students and families enjoyed snacks, game booths, and the cake walk throughout the night while earning stamps for Legos.  It was wonderful to see all of our families enjoy time together and we want to thank all of the parents, volunteers, and helpers who organized and ran the Penny Carnival.  Our Parent Involvement group did much of the planning and coordination to make the event a success and we want to thank all involved in those monthly meetings.  We also want to thank our afterschool program Just for Kids volunteers, Coach Mullis and the Chadron State College Volleyball team, Sergeant Mullis and the Chadron State College ROTC, as well as Wendy Jamison and the Chadron State College Cardinal Key organization.  These college students volunteered their time to run the booths and help so our parent organizers could enjoy the evening with their children.  Our Penny Carnival would not be possible without the countless efforts of Chadron Primary staff members who helped organize the event and made baked goods for the Cake Walk.  Curt Holmquist was the winner of our 50/50 Raffle with a guess of 432 Legos in the bucket of 478.  We want to extend sincere gratitude to all of the businesses and individuals who so generously donated money, prizes, and baked goods for the event and we hope to see everyone next year!
