Today our students are participating in Fire Prevention Day with the Chadron Volunteer Fire Department as well as the State Fire Marshall. Students are learning what they should do in case of a fire in their home. Be sure to ask your student about their experience and develop a home plan that works for you and your family. If your student does not have a smoke alarm in their bedroom we may be able to get them a free one. Please have your student let their teacher know and we will pass their name on the the Fire Department. It was also noted that not all students knew their phone numbers or address. We as parents should also double check to see that our home address is visible from the street. --Thank you !
