Chadron Middle School encourages community members and businesses to come together and participate in The Great Kindness Challenge, February 12-19th, 2016. The Great Kindness Challenge is a positive, proactive bullying prevention initiative, reaching millions of students every year.
In order to create a consistent, positive message throughout our school and community, Chadron Middle School is challenging our students to complete at least 50 kind acts, proving that bullying is weak and kindness is strength.  Activities throughout the week will include an all-school anti-bullying assembly, contest, kindness quotes from students, dress-up spirit days, as well as collaborative, team-building exercises.
“This program has so much value to students of all ages. In addition to random acts of kindness, students should actively seek out purposeful acts of kindness. We hope their efforts have an long-lasting impact on our school environment.” Heather Barry, School Social Worker
The Great Kindness Challenge was created by Kids for Peace to provide schools a tool for creating a positive school environment. In 2015, 2,188,669 students participated and performed over 100 million acts of kindness nationwide. -www.greatkindnesschallenge.org
